Trunk or Treat

Don your costumes, grab your decorations, and snag some candy...

Calling All CapCity Fam!

Don your costumes, grab your decorations, and snag some candy...Trunk-or-Treat is right around the corner!

Trunk or Treat is an annual community-wide event held at CapCity, and we're planning to be outside this year! It takes an enormous amount of manpower to make this event a success. There are several ways you can help.

First, Everyone can bring candy! We'll begin officially collecting candy in October, but we'll take it anytime you want to bring it in. All donations may be brought to the main office Monday-Fridays, 8am - 4pm.

Other SERVE Options For Trunk or Treat

  • Trunk Host - Want to have some fun? What's better than decorating a trunk and passing out candy? We're looking to set up at least 25 trunks with themes with a Biblical twist... You can decorate as an individual or as a group.
  • For Groups: Please designate one person as your point of contact for registration.

  • October 31 Set Up - Do you like to be behind the scenes? Come over early on the 31st and help set up for the event.

  • Inflatables - Got bounce? Help monitor the inflatables.

  • Face Painting - Are you the creative type? Try face painting. Kids love it, and so do some of the adults!

  • Food - Like to cook? Help cook up and serve hot dogs and all the fixins!

  • Snacks - Not a gourmet chef? Try your hand at snow cones or popcorn. Maybe you'd like to make some cotton candy!

  • Candy Runner- Have lots of energy? Resupply the trunks with candy treats throughout the evening. (This is an excellent job for teens.) You will be doing a LOT of walking, so wear comfy shoes!

  • Traffic Directors - Grab your reflective vest! Help direct traffic so it flows smoothly and ensure our visitors have a safe experience at Trunk or Treat.

  • Selfie Station - Say cheese! Help our guests capture the moment.

  • Greeters - You're setting the tone! Direct our guests on the whos, wheres, and hows of Trunk or Treat.

  • Sound Tech - Want to be a DJ for the night? Press play!

  • October 31st Teardown - Shew! We're all tired! At the end of the evening, we'll need some assistance cleaning up trash around the site.

For Our Volunteers

  • Please be in place and ready to go no later than 5:30pm.
  • Trunks will need to be set up in the Upper Lot. We will have someone there to direct you.
  • Candy will be provided.
  • All other volunteers need to park next to the State buildings.

Thank you in advance for your help. We could not pull off an event like this without you.
